Problems we solve
The site goes down and nobody knows until a client complains. The server is slow and the bill grows every month. There is no backup, or there is one nobody has ever restored from. The SSL certificate expired and browsers warn visitors the site is unsafe. Each of these costs money and reputation.
How we work
- Audit what exists: servers, services, cost, backups and security, delivered as a written, prioritised report.
- An ordered plan: risks first, then savings, then improvements.
- Changes at quiet times: every migration or upgrade has a rollback plan and runs when traffic is low.
- Monitoring and alerts: if the site goes down or a disk is filling up, you are alerted before a client notices.
- Documented hand-over: every setting and credential stored safely in your name, with written emergency steps.
Backups that are real
A backup nobody has restored from is only a hope. We take daily backups stored away from the server, actually restore them on a separate environment, and write down how long a restore takes.
Cost
Many servers are larger than needed or run services nobody uses. We measure real usage first, then recommend the right size, and we do not grow a server to hide a problem that lives in the code.
Security
System updates, a firewall, password login disabled on the server (keys only), and the least privilege for every service. Every change is written down before it is made, with what it affects.
